VVT Phaser Lock

This Gen 3 Hemi Phaser Lock insert is designed to permanently lock your Gen 3 Hemi Phaser.  This modification is often required when using a performance and/or racing camshaft. This phaser lock is designed with an interference fit and has no provision for removal. So, the VVT function of the phaser will not be able to be restored once this lock is installed.

Installation Notes:

The end of the lock that has the larger chamfer is designed to start into the phaser cavity first. The plug is made to the + side of the factory tolerance. The plug should start in approximately 1/126" to 1/8" with firm finger pressure and should take light hammer taps to seat completely. On certain phaser cavities you might have to lightly file or sand the flat areas on the side of the plug to get it to start. Only file or sand enough to get the plug started. The plug needs to be a tight fit for proper operation.
